Profit taking restricts KSE gains KARACHI: Mixed activity was witnessed at the Karachi Stock Exchange on Wednesday while benchmark-100 index added 6 points to close at 9,785 points.

Investors preferred booking profits throughout the session. However, index managed to close in green zone due to renewed buying in Oil & Gas, Textile and Fertilizer sectors.

The local bourse touched intraday highest level of 9,875 points before moving downwards amid intense selling pressure in PSO and Pak Oilfields stocks.

Market turnover remained 127 million shares while Nishat Chunian was crowned as the volume leader, up by Rs1.06/share to close at Rs22.85.

Market experts said upcoming financial results may boost the positive activity.
