 ECC increases sugar prices by Rs7 at Utility Stores

 ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee of the cabinet has increased the sugar price at the utility stores by Rs7 per kilogram.

According to the new prices, sugar will be sold at Rs45 instead of 38 at the Utility stores. The ECC meeting presided over by Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin took place Islamabad today (Tuesday).

The ECC also gave its nod to import 500,000-ton sugar in the country in order to meet the demand.

In addition, two summaries submitted by the Ministry of Agriculture at the ECC were also approved.
