| Dasti’s comments do not suit any parliamentarian: PCB |
Updated at: 1943 PST, Friday, January 08, 2010 LAHORE: Condemning the remarks of Jamshed Dasti, chairman National Assembly standing committee for sports, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that the words used in his remarks do not suit any parliamentarian.This has been said in a statement issued from the PCB that chairman PCB Ijaz Butt these days is in Bangladesh where he has to attend a ceremony regarding the World Cup 2011. Director cricket operations Zakir Khan could not attend the meeting as his flight delayed due to fog and this has been communicated to the ministry of sports and the National Assembly secretariat. This has been further said in the statement that in the past, Younis Khan had resigned from captaincy on such remarks of the standing committee. The PCB said that Ijaz Butt holds the right reserved to answer these non-parliamentarian remarks. Sources said that chairman PCB Ijaz Butt would soon hold a press conference in this regard. |
