Updated at: 2330 PST, Monday, January 25, 2010 KARACHI: Sindh Home Department has convened a meeting for Thursday in the wake of increasing number of kidnappings in Karachi in the current month.Thirteen kidnappings have been reported in the city in a short span from January 3 to January 22, according to sources. These kidnappings have occurred in the jurisdiction of Taimoria, Landhi, Mobina Town, Sharifabad, Sukhan, Defence, Soldier Bazar, Nazimabad, Korangi and Risala police stations. Taking notice of this, the Sindh Home Department has summoned meeting of police, Rangers and related departments on Thursday (January 28). |
