| Ministers won’t be arrested in Punjab: Gilani |
Updated at: 0308 PST, Saturday, December 19, 2009 ISLAMABAD: The government is in preparation of Exit Control List (ECL) following Supreme Court (SC) verdict to defunct NRO, Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said on Friday.The premier said Defence Minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar is an honorable member National Assembly possessing the most key position in the government right after Presidency. He said Interior Secretary was suspended over barring Defence Minister from going abroad and it is nothing short of state’s insult if its key mister is prevented from visiting abroad. The Prime Minister was speaking to journalists here in PM House. He said Punjab is seeing a coalition government in province and ministers will not be arrested there. Government prepares ECL list instead of anyone else and the government is in process of compiling the data of NRO beneficiaries, he concluded. |
