Positive trend in KSE during the week KARACHI: Bullish sentiments dominated the Karachi stock market during the week as Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100-index up by 239 points to close at 9,422 points.

Keeping in view Quaid-e-Azam, Christmas holidays and law and order situation, investors avoided to take new position which resulted in decline of trade volume by 2.6 percent.

However, the approval of fourth trench of IMF loan and permission granted to OGDCL, British Petroleum and MOL for seismic survey at six places created positive impact on the market and the week ended on a positive note.
