| Govt respects SC verdict on NRO: Babar |
| Updated at: 2227 PST, Wednesday, December 16, 2009 ISLAMABAD: Responding to the Supreme Court’s verdict about National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), the President’s spokesman Farhatullah Babar said that the government accepts the court and its verdict. Speaking to newsmen outside the SC building here, he said that President Zardari enjoys the constitutional protection. He said PPP leadership is not afraid of the verdict. He said the resignation of the president was out of question. Earlier, the Supreme Court, in its short verdict, declared the NRO as unconstitutional and illegal. |
