| Determined to repeal all unconstitutional amendments: Zardari |
Updated at: 0411 PST, Sunday, December 27, 2009 ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has said Saturday government is ready to repeal all unconstitutional amendments from the constitution of Pakistan, Geo news reported.He said democratic forces are bent upon elimination of extremism from country, meanwhile, Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said will put into practice all possible actions to accomplish deceased Benazir Bhutto’s mission. In his message on the eve of second death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, president said PPP is working industriously to strengthen democracy side by side with ridding poor people of poverty, backwardness and illiteracy. President Zardari termed law and democracy as its key weapon for the achievement of objectives of PPP. “We are determined for the restoration of 1973 constitution of Pakistan in its real sense through repealing all unconstitutional amendments.” PM Gilani said, in his message, the government will face prevailing challenges successfully. “We are making all-out efforts for fulfillment of martyred Benazir Bhutto’s philosophy of reconciliation, lending help and abiding by her theories of politics.” “Pakistan will be made impregnable as dreamed of by father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, poet of the east Allama Iqbal, Quaid-e-Awam martyred Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto”, he vowed. |
