| Country-wide strike of CNG association |
Updated at: 1724 PST, Wednesday, December 30, 2009 ISLAMABAD: The CNG owners have began their country-wide strike as gas load management for two days a week is being undertaken in Potohar Region.The country-wide strike of All Pakistan CNG Association went underway from today in protest of the possible rise in the gas tariff from January 1, 2010. Chief of the Association, Ghayas Paracha said 2,800 CNG stations across all the major cities including Peshawar, Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi have been shut down for an indefinite period. Despite the strike call a number of CNG stations were seen operating as normal in Karachi and other cities. |
