| PM announces Rs1 bln package for Karachi |
Updated at: 1707 PST, Wednesday, December 30, 2009 KARACHI: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday announced a relief package of Rs1 billion for the affected people of Karachi tragedy.Well-placed sources said the MQM leaders thanked Prime Minister Gilani for the package. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has also pledged support for the Karachi victims, Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Babar Ghauri said. He said Shahbaz Sharif would also pay a visit to the affected areas of the city. |
