| Afridi off to Australia for domestic tournament |
Updated at: 1709 PST, Thursday, December 24, 2009 KARACHI: Vice-captain of Pakistan one-day team Shahid Afridi said that expecting from Pakistan bowling lineup on the tour of Australia is a positive thinking but regarding the batsmen he said that the sense of responsibility would be the key of success on the tour.The 29-year-old allrounder, who has so far played 26 Tests and 288 ODIs for Pakistan, said this while talking with Geo News. Shahid Afridi has left for Perth to represent South Australia in Australia’s domestic Twenty20 tournament. Replying to a question, the star allrounder said that the Australia’s team is not as stronger as it was in the past and in this situation, Pakistan team can achieve positive results if its bowling lineup plays its fullest role. Replying to a question regarding his own performance, Afridi said that he would not let his team down with his batting performance. Sahhid Afridi will captain Pakistan in the Twenty20 International against Australia at Melbourne on February 5, 2010. |
