Updated at: 1613 PST, Thursday, December 31, 2009 HELSINKI: Four people were killed after a lone gunman dressed in black opened fire at a shopping centre near the Finnish capital Helsinki on Thursday, police said.They said three men and a woman were shot dead by a 43-year-old suspect whose identity was known and who was still being sought. "I can confirm that four people are dead," local police chief Jyrkky Kallio told foreign news agency."But we do not know yet whether there are other casualties and how many there are. "We also do not know as yet the whereabouts of the gunman but we know who he is," he added, refusing to disclose further details ahead of a press conference scheduled for later in the morning. |
